Actress Naya Rivera, who has been missing, is now presumed dead after she and her young son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, took a boat trip at Lake Piru, located in Los Padres National Forest and Topatopa Mountains.
According to police in Ventura County, California, on July 8 at around 1 PM, the 33-year-old Glee actress rented a boat for herself and her four-year-old child.
The Ventura County Sheriff confirmed that three hours later, Josey was found in the boat alone wearing a life vest, and his mother was missing.
The child told authorities that his mother went for a swim in the lake and never returned. Several videos show drones, boats, helicopters actively searching for Rivera.

It has been confirmed that dive teams are doing their best to find the missing actress who they believe died in a drowning accident.
Rivera’s car was found in the parking lot near the lake, and her purse and other belongings were located in the boat. Officials from the Ventura County Sheriff Dept. say she is “presumed dead.”
Rivera was married to Ryan Dorsey, and they divorced in 2018. She also dated rapper Big Sean.
Many fans are saddened by the last Instagram posts shared by Rivera in the past week, including one where she is kissing her son and talking about how precious life is.
Some supporters and Glee stars like Harry Shum Jr., Heather Morris, Iqbal Theba, and Max Adler have taken to Facebook and Instagram to wish for her safe return.
A fan had this prayer for the star who played Santana Lopez: “Praying tonight for #NayaRivera safe return to her family ??? Father God keep her safe wherever she may be and guide her home. Thank you in advance for reuniting this beautiful person safe and sound with her son.”
A social media user wrote this message: “This year has been filled with so much disappointment and pain. praying for her and her family. I hope they find her safe and sound. God, please.”
This supporter of the series shared: “What has happened to this whole cast over the years has been absolutely horrible. Prayers she’s found safely. ??”

A backer shared the following theory: “This is so sad. I’m wondering if she committed suicide. Decided not to take her son with her and told him to stay in the boat ?. She may have planned to take their child with her but couldn’t bring herself to do it. It’s strange she took her life jacket off.”
