Tamera Mowry-Housley surprised many by announcing that she is leaving the talk show, The Real, after six seasons.
The former child actress has been on the hit talk show since it was launched in 2013 with Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Houghton.
Braxton was booted from the show and was later replaced with Amanda Seales, who stayed on for barely one season.
The Sister, Sister actress shared an emotional post where she thanked her former co-hosts for their love and beautiful friendship.
Mowry-Housley also hinted that she has big projects in the works — so fans should expect an announcement soon. Accompanying the message revealing her exit from the show was a semi-apology for the timing of her post.
Tamera, her sister, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, and her brothers were very close to Naya Rivera, who drowned during a boat trip with her young son.
Her post said in part: “For seven years, my home and heart have been at ‘The Real.’ The friendships that I’ve made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I’ve had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better.”
She added: “To my fellow hosts, I love you, I will miss you, and I will always be there for you. Thank you for teaching me, supporting me, and loving all of me. Sisters forever. I’ll be rooting for you, as I look forward to spending more time with my family, pursuing amazing new opportunities, and embarking on the next chapter of my life.”
Many fans wished her well and told her that they would miss her. Some say that she is pregnant with her third child and has decided to focus on that. Others strongly believe that Mowry-Housley will be hosting her own show.
This viewer told the TV host: “Continued success Tamera. I enjoyed watching you on The Real. You’re a gem & everything you touch will shine. Continued blessings to you & your family.❤️??”
An uplifting message from a fan read: “Well done Tam. Always held it down with class, spice and integrity. More importantly you stayed a great woman of God in all this . ? can’t wait to see what’s next.”
Mowry-Housley received this sweet note from a longtime supporter: “It was a good run!! You have soooo much on your resume now! You are so full of surprises and just know wherever you go we’re there!! All things come to an end at some point and I’m excited to see where you end up next and hoping we get an album soon ?.”
Mowry-Housley had a follower who told her that they are eager to see on her next show: “You will be missed on The Real. I’m glad that you’re focusing on your next chapter. I felt like the show’s energy was becoming negative and not aligned anymore, because you’re such a loving and positive light. I’m happy for you!! ?”
Some are afraid that the show might be losing its core strength.
