Kandi Burruss has a beautiful moment to celebrate — her oldest daughter, Riley Burruss, has graduated from high school and is heading to college, but fans are raining on her parade with plastic surgery questions.
The businesswoman and beaming mother took to social media to share the wonderful news with her millions of followers.
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star opted to post a sweet video via her Instagram stories that showed Riley enjoying her beautiful yet socially-distanced high school graduation party with her loving family by her side.
The teenager looked stunning in a designer dress by Fendi along with her red cap and gown. Riley also posted a picture of herself with her baby sister, Blaze, brother Ace, stepfather Todd Tucker, and grandmother Mama Joyce.
Riley happily celebrated the big day with this sweet caption, where she revealed that she would be going to NYU this fall.
However, with the number of cases of COVID-19 on the rise, learning will be done virtually for the foreseeable future.
Riley said the caption: “So blessed to have received an amazing education, and special thanks to my amazing mom who is the reason I will be going to my dream school. Wishing all other members of the class of 2020 the best during such a hard time? NYU here I come ??.”
Fans are angry that Kandi let her daughter get a nose job, and they are calling her out.
A fan of the Xscape singer had this to say: “Surprised Kandi let her get a nose job. But then I remember I don’t know any of these people personally & then again, it’s Hollyweird.”
Another unhappy camper came for Kandi with this comment: “I’m upset Kandi even let her do that bs of getting a nose job. Perfect how God made her. There was nothing wrong with her nose. She was beautiful. Now she’s going to start getting more and more work done. Watch.”
Not everyone is mad; a few are even laughing. One backer said this about the situation: “It makes me internally sad to see beautiful women get money & change their faces. people with no money charge their faces all the time your comment meant zero sense. ? Don’t come talking bout that baby nose! And y’all saving up to get BBL’s. The nose was her graduation gift. ?”
A few people believe that Riley is just using makeup. This follower chimed in to say: “Until her or her mama confirm it, it’s makeup to me I done seen people change their whole face with makeup. These comments are deplorable. She’s a child! Y’all can’t just say congrats? Just negative all the time. Y’all are miserable!!! She’s a beautiful PERIOD!! they don’t know sh*t but being toxic . They haven’t broke generational curses so they spew their hatred and unwarranted advice; while being blind trying to lead a flock of blind ppl.”
A mom made this point: “This doesn’t teach young black girls to be happy with their God-Given appearance. I get you’re trying to champion positive feedback, but the message that Kandi and her daughter are showing little girls is not a good one. Facts. And tomorrow they’ll be preaching about black unity & protecting Black women as if they weren’t on here tearing down a black child. Smh.”
Some argue that Kandi should not be blamed for the alleged plastic surgery.
