Katie Holmes is currently on a virtual promotional tour where she is pushing her new feel-good movie, The Secret: Dare to Dream.
The film is based on Rhonda Byrne‘s 2006 best-selling self-help book, The Secret. Holmes has conducted multiple interviews from the comfort of her New York home with reporters worldwide.
While most journalists focused solely on the film, which tells the beautiful story of a mother’s hope and strength, a few asked her about her personal life.
While no one dared to quiz her about her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, reporters wondered how she and her daughter, Suri Cruise, were coping with the new reality in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Dawson’s Creek actress, who is notoriously private about her 14-year-old daughter’s life, surprised many by making a few revelations while giving a glimpse into her fabulous home.
The 41-year-old mom reluctantly explained: “I like to keep her out of my interviews.”
She went on to reveal that types of activities that she has been taking part in with Suri: “I will say that this quarantine time has been such a lesson, just really looking at everything you have and celebrating the simplicity of making dinner and (spending) that time together.”
Holmes went on to make this powerful confession about having a positive attitude in life: “I feel strongly that the power of your own attitude definitely influences those around you, including your children.”
More or less, Holmes revealed that she has forgiven herself and moved on from the mistakes she has made in her life, including her failed romances with Cruise and Jamie Foxx.
She stated that she is “very blessed” and added: “I have felt very lucky, and I rely on my instincts a lot, but I also forgive myself for mistakes.”
The talented actress said in another interview: “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now. It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”
Cruise and Holmes got married in 2006 and had their daughter, Suri, that same year. The power couple split in 2012.
In 2019, Holmes and Foxx separated after a six-year romance. Fans are thrilled that Holmes is thriving while basking in motherhood.
Fans are hoping that her career will reach new heights.
