Queen Elizabeth II has put her fist down and has demanded that her grandsons put an end to their international drama.
Earlier this year, the rift that already existed between Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, grew several kilometers wider.
Prince Harry and wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, grew tired of the royal life and all its rules and protocols and decided that they were leaving London.
The power couple moved to a lavish mansion in California, and since then, Harry and William barely talk to each other.
Princess Diana‘s sons’ relationship further deteriorated with a flood of negative rumors. And the announcement of the release of the bombshell book, Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan, and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, by reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, which contains nasty revelations and accusations; has made it impossible for the scars to heal between Harry and William.
However, the queen is said to be tired of the cold war that is going on between William and Harry and has come up with a plan to solve the matter.
A royal insider revealed: “The queen is firmly of the opinion that this nonsense cannot and must not continue any longer. She wants the boys to sit and resolve their differences like grown adults.”
Queen Elizabeth had initially set up a meeting for Harry and his bother to have a face-to-face at their cousin, Princess Beatrice‘s wedding that was scheduled for May, but the coronavirus pandemic forced her to cancel the ceremony.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Beatrice had a private socially-distanced wedding in mid-July that was attended by less than eight people.
The monarch, 94, has come up with a new date and location for the much-anticipated meeting between Prince Charles‘s children.
The queen now wants Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their 14-month-old son, Archie, to fly to Balmoral for the summer and resolve their differences with William.
One source revealed: “She wants them to chat in person, not on the phone or via Zoom, which wouldn’t be as effective.”
Another royal expert shared that William is confused by all the drama taking place in his life and added: “William is so tired and done with the drama of it all, seeing Harry cut ties with virtually every aspect of his English life and identity is so hard to fathom.”
Some say it is unlikely that Meghan and Harry will respond positively.
