Not too long ago, specific changes were made to the Twitter account of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
While not all of their followers immediately noticed the difference, it was spotted by eagle-eyed fans on the Internet.
It was eventually brought to the spotlight and made many people curious about what it all means. The description of the Twitter account now reads Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall instead of Clarence House.
Given that not all social media accounts were changed immediately, with some leaving the old description, many fans started to wonder what might be going on.
There was no official indication from the royal family that there was any significant meaning to the changes.
Some speculate that Prince William and Catherine Middleton might have inspired Camilla Parker Bowles and the Duke of Cornwall.
The power couple recently decided to display their names on both their Twitter and Instagram. The royal couple dumped Kensington Palace for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as their official header.
It did not take long for the changes to become the subject of many discussions, as the Twitter account has 900,000 followers.
Combined with a large number of followers, Charles and Camilla also enjoy on Instagram (1.2million followers). There are plenty of people who would likely immediately notice if something was out of the ordinary.
Some followers have continued probing the official accounts for more information regarding the recent changes.
Others have reminded the public that the royal family is usually a bit more secretive about the state of their affairs and will likely not make any public statements about the situation.
However, many say the change is reflective of their ever-growing leadership role within the royal family.
