This PDA Photo Of Kate Middleton And Prince William Has Angry Royal Fans Taking Digs At Prince Harry And Meghan Markle For This Reason

Prince William Kate Middleton Meghan Markle Harry PDA

Royal fans of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are having a heated debate over who has the PDA monopoly.

The drama started over an innocent photo shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account that featured Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William sharing a loving moment.

The photo was taken during a brief trip by the pair to promote England’s businesses’ reopening during the health crisis.

The lovely picture had this caption: “Thank you, Wales ??????? , for the lovely reception yesterday. It was great to see communities and businesses starting to get back up and running, following a difficult few months for the tourism industry and the broader economy.”

Eagle-eyed supporters noticed that Kate was being very affectionate with her husband and made sure to point it out while taking a dig at Prince Harry and Meghan.

One social media user called out Harry and his wife for craving the cameras: “A couple that supports one another effortlessly without needing to ham it up for the cameras. They exude sophistication. Absolutely adore them!”

This pro-Kate and William commenter took matters a bit far by insulting the power couple who decided to leave the royal family behind: “They are real unlike the clown and the fool who shall remain nameless.”

Not all royal fans enjoy the name-calling. This social media user asked for the bashing to stop and added: “Why make a dig at Harry and Meghan? This is a lovey photo of Kate and William. We can celebrate them without putting down H&M, who also love and support each other very much.”

A more nuanced voice penned this note: “You’re clearly obsessed with H&M because you weren’t happy enough to just post your positive comment you decided to make a weak comparison. Stay hating but still watching.”

Nick Bullen, who is the man behind True Royalty TV, confirmed what many supporters of William and Kate believe — despite being famous, they do not consider themselves as celebrities and do not crave the spotlight.

Bullen explained: “They are [one of] the most famous people in the world and they can’t escape it. I think they choose not to consider the celebrity world because they literally don’t see themselves as part of it. They haven’t sought fame… They’ve got a duty, and they do the best that they can with their duty. And you know, we’ve seen when royalty and celebrity come together — it can sometimes not work.”

He also revealed why there are genuine love and support between the royal couple: “They were clearly friends before they were in a relationship. That foundation was set in the early part of the marriage… And I think Kate’s family, the Middleton family, gave William a support network that is somewhat different [than] the monarchy.”

The two couples might no longer be competing on the same playground.
