Brad Pitt understands that revenge is a dish best served cold, preferably in the multi-million dollar castle where he married Angelina Jolie.
As we previously reported, Pitt shocked the world when he chose to take his new girlfriend, Nicole Poturalski, (who has an open marriage), for a romantic vacation the day he was supposed to celebrate his wedding anniversary with Jolie.
To add more insults to injury, he decided to vacation with the young model at his Château Miraval in the South of France.
Pitt’s romantic getaway’s location made many fans angry because he married Jolie in front of their children at the stunning château.
According to a source close to the famous actor, it was not an accident that he opted to debut his new girlfriend on the day he wed Jolie.
He also purposely traveled to the castle, where he celebrated his wedding, all in an attempt to torment Jolie, who is dragging her feet with their divorce.
The power couple were together for over 12 years and have raised six children — Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12 — together.
Jolie and Pitt announced their divorce in September 2016, and the court battles between the pair have been messy and public.
While in 2019, a judge finally made the pair legally single, the fights over money, the castle, and custody are still going on.
And it has been revealed that Pitt is fed up with the situation and has decided to publicly humiliate Jolie.
A source close to the actor explained: “Taking Nicole to Miraval on their former wedding anniversary, Brad knows exactly what he is doing and the reaction it’s going to get from Angelina. He just doesn’t care if Angelina is going to lash out. He expects she will.”
The insider went on to say this about the fact that the drama between the pair will be heading to trial: “Brad has done everything he could in his power to avoid this moment. Angelina hasn’t in Brad’s perspective.”
Recently, Jolie made headlines when she attacked the judge handling the case by claiming that he was biased against her because he previously had a working relationship with one of Pitt’s attorneys.
Jolie’s lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, said: “All my client is asking for is a fair trial based on facts, with no special favors extended to either side. The only way litigants can trust the process is for everyone involved to ensure that there are transparency and impartiality.”
The judge claimed that Jolie’s allegations were false.
