As it turns out, not everyone is happy that Keeping Up With the Kardashians is coming to an end.
This week, the famous family shocked their millions of fans by announcing that they will air the reality TV series’ final season in 2021 after being on the air for a total of 14 years.
The show made the Jenner/Kardashian multi-millionaires, so many assumed that the sisters were eager to close that chapter of their lives, but according to momager Kris Jenner, that is not the case at all.
Earlier today, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch did a lengthy interview On Air With Ryan Seacrest, where she explained that it was a hard and emotional decision to take.
The businesswoman said that all her children were reduced to tears about bidding adieu to the show and added: “You’re going to make me cry all over again. It’s funny when we talked yesterday, I kinda had my wits about me, and I thought I was really strong. And, you know, this is the right decision. Today I wake up, and I was thinking about the first time you and I ever did an interview on the air, and I was so excited and so nervous.”
Kris went on to explain how her children — Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner — are processing the news: “I woke up and was in the gym at 5 o’clock with Khloé and Kim, and we just kind of sat there and looked at each other and said, ‘Whoa, what a ride.’ It was quite the morning.”
She also revealed why the clan took the decision to wrap up the docu-series: “I think the number 20, well, it used to sound good until 2020, but the number 20, it just seemed like the right time. I think for us to take a minute and breathe, and everybody slows down a bit. Not slow down professionally, but just you know, figure out what our next steps are.”
Kris went on to confess that one of her children is distraught over the situation and cannot stop crying.
Kris revealed: “We had to tell the crew yesterday, so we were all crying. But I think Khloé…is probably the one who is taking it the hardest and really hasn’t stopped crying since we announced. She’s been so sweet and just emotional about it.”
Some observers say, Khloé has always played a key role in keeping the family together.
