Gwen Stefani and her longtime boyfriend, Blake Shelton, recently took a giant leap of faith, and the latest rumors claim that things are not going as planned.
After hunkering down for several weeks in Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the power couple and Stefani’s three sons — Kingston, 14, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 6 — returned to California.
The blended family was thrilled to move into their newly-purchased and renovated mansion. The artists and TV stars decided to purchase a $13.2 million mansion in Encino that features several floors and countless amenities fit for the adults and the children.
Despite the fact that the property boasts 13,000 square feet of living space and sits on a 1.6-acre lot, it is being claimed that Stefani and Shelton are suffocating.
A source told Us Weekly that the big move has created a lot of tension between the couple and added: “They feel suffocated and stressed. They’re both stretched to the limit.”
The insider went on to explain: “Friends say this move has turned into a nightmare. This is the toughest period they’ve had so far without a doubt.”
The good news is that the pal stated that they will find ways to resolve the matter. The friend shared with the publication: “They know how to compromise, they have historically found ways to “work through any tension and look at the bigger picture.”
This week, Stefani photoshopped Shelton into an old 1990s photo with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, and shared the image on social media. The move left many followers baffled and some even saw it as a big slap in the face of the father of her three children.
According to a second source, Stefani and Rossdale also hit a rough patch during the lockdown.
The person claimed: “Gwen and Gavin don’t really have a relationship anymore, but she is very careful not to let their issues affect the kids. She knows how much they love their dad, so it’s important to her to support that bond. There have been some struggles in their co-parenting journey, but things have been relatively smooth lately. COVID was a huge test for them, it could have gotten really tricky, but they were able to stay on the same page because they both put the kids first.”
For the sake of their boys, they amicably worked on the co-parenting issues. The acquaintance with knowledge of the story revealed: “Gavin is a great father, and Gwen would be quick to agree. When it comes to the kids, he hasn’t had all the time in the world lately that he once had with them since quarantine, but all the time he has had has been very beneficial and something he would never replace as he doesn’t take anything for granted. He also Facetimes them constantly when not near them and is a constant and very important part of their life. Gavin and Gwen have figured out the co-parenting thing, and it was tested with COVID, but they are now figuring out life as co-parents this way. It’s a very healthy and happy situation when it comes to the kids.”
Fans remain hopeful for Stefani and Shelton, especially after their amazing duet at the 2020 ACM Awards. Their chemistry was through the roof.
