It seems that Cardi B found the perfect way to avoid being cheated on — by just ending her marriage.
Recent reports suggest that the “Bodak Yellow” performer claimed that she had already started with the divorce proceedings and the main reason behind her separation from Offset was to defend herself from eventual future disappointments.
The femcee addressed the situation by stating that even though nothing drastic had happened for her to reach this decision, sometimes people just grow apart and that she just grew tired of “the arguments and the buildups.”
The “WAP” artist explained: “I got tired of f—king arguing” and “got tired of not seeing things eye-to-eye. When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore and before you get cheated on, I’d rather just leave. It’s not because of cheating. I’m seeing people say it’s because he’s got a baby on the way — that’s a whole f—— complete lie,” she continued. “This is the like second time people try to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls–t.”
Cardi B also explained on social media that she did not want to wait until her husband was unfaithful again or for “another controversy with him being involved,” so she wanted to leave before it was too late.
This is not the first time that Offset is suspected of infidelity as back in 2018; Cardi B revealed that she saw a video of Offset cheating on her just a couple of months after their marriage.
The incident allegedly led to their separation, which lasted until the “Ric Flair Drip” lyricist apologized publicly to Cardi by surprisingly appearing at her performance with a rose formation that read “Take me back, Cardi.”
Following her latest separation from Offset, Cardi described their romance as “irretrievably broken,” and the 27-year-old diva would fight for “primary physical custody” for their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture, and would require from Offset just regular financial help.
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, also insisted that hers and Offset’s properties and assets should be divided into two equal parts between them.
The artist confirmed that she is happy being single and rich in a recent post on social media. She wrote: “Single, bad, and rich. I do the controlling.”
Cardi’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Offset, was caught creeping in her comment section and liking the sassy post. Some are wondering if the move is enough for the power couple to reconcile.
