Kate Middleton cannot stop beaming about her children wherever she goes.
Although a majority of the time, Prince William‘s wife is showered with compliments while talking about Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis; there is one instance where she received a rather scathing letter.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were told that they need to stop having children by an overzealous activist, just weeks before they announced to the world that they had their royal baby on the way.
Just before announcing that they were expecting their third child, William and Kate were warned not to have any more children.
In the late summer of 2017, Kate, who was in the very early stages of her third pregnancy and her husband, visited Poland and Germany, where she received a sweet baby toy.
The lovely gesture prompted Kate to turn to William and say: “We’ll just have to have more babies!”
One month after the comment, Having Kid’s Executive Director President Anne Green Carter Dillard penned a hurtful letter explaining to the couple that they need to stop getting pregnant because “having a larger family raises compelling issues of sustainability and equity.”
Dillard stated: “Of course, we know that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are certain to have wonderful lives, protected from the deprivations of poverty and the threat of environmental degradation. They will receive optimal amounts of care and attention, as well as the best possible education. But the same can’t be said of every future child.”
She went on to say: “Rather than having a third or more children, families consider forgoing another child and taking part in the substantial resources saved to help a different family plan a fair start in life for their child. The point is simply this: Family planning should be child-centered, and the Fair Start model is a serious move towards ensuring all children get the equal opportunities in life they deserve. And that they do so in a healthy, safe, and greener environment.”
Weeks after the letter was published, Kate confirmed that she was expecting, and in the spring of 2018, baby Louis was born.
Royal fans are hoping that Kate and William will have a fourth child in the near future, and according to the latest reports, the royal pair is working on the matter in a diligent fashion.
Kate and William are good at ignoring some of their critics, especially when they cross a line.
