It has been revealed by several members of the royal family that Prince William has a bit of a temper, and he snaps at even at his father, Prince Charles.
It seems that actor Jack Whitehall did not do any research on Prince William before meeting him.
The Bad Education star took part in a show attended by both Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William.
Whitehall, who hosted the Royal Variety Performance, revealed that he went to the same school as Kate.
The comedian explained that despite being a few years younger than Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, while they were at the private school Marlborough College, he had a crush on her.
The actor appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, where he revealed that he never dared to talk to Kate, whom he described as his “first crush.”
He confessed: “The Duchess was my first crush; we were actually at school together. This is true. We were at the same school. I was a bit younger than you, but this is the first time I’ve seen you since school, so hello. I don’t know whether it’s appropriate given the circumstances, but you were probably my first ever crush.”
He revealed what he told Kate when he realized that she was sitting in the audience: “I’ve seen you since school, so hello. I don’t know whether it’s appropriate given the circumstances, but you were probably my first ever crush.
Whitehall added: “Okay, definitely inappropriate. You Highness is giving me a very sharp look.”
Whitehall said at the end of the show he met the Duke of Cambridge, who made it clear that he was not happy about the “flirting” that took place with his wife.
He shared the conversation with William: “I flirted a little because I said she was one of my first crushes at school. And then in the line-up, William came over, and he was very funny.”
William adopted a passive-aggressive attitude to threaten to behead him.
Whitehall said: “Because he was very nice, but very passive-aggressive, ‘Oh, so you were flirting with my missus? Oh no, no, that was very, very funny’. That’s him going, ‘I could have you beheaded.'”
He concluded by: “Kate is the one that got away. She was a lot older than me. She was in sixth form ‒ it was never going to happen; I was in a head brace!”
The future King might have been joking or not.
