A source revealed to Us Weekly: “They have been in prenup talks for a few months. The process has been extremely effortless. And there have been no hiccups or outrageous demands during the discussions.”
With that in mind, fans likely not far from seeing the two tie the knot officially and enter the next big phase of their lives together.
It is not clear what their exact plans for the future are and how they are going to approach building their family, but both of them definitely seem quite excited about the prospect.
Apparently, Stefani was the main initiator of the idea to get a prenup agreement, as she felt disappointed by the outcome of her last marriage to Gavin Rossdale, where she did not have one.
The publication noted: “Stefani didn’t have a prenup with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale; she just can’t afford to not have it with Blake.”
The source did not say if there was any underhanded trickery involved in that marriage or if Stefani just wants to play things safe for the future.
The diva recently flaunted her stunning $500,000 engagement ring ahead of her wedding. It has been confirmed that Shelton proposed earlier this month in his native Oklahoma, and Stefani was blown away by the beautiful yet simple romantic gesture.
A source said this about the bling: “Blake had the ring custom designed. It meant so much to Gwen that Blake was so traditional about it.”
