Toni Braxton did not come to play with her latest stunning Instagram post. The legendary diva recently debuted a sleek platinum blonde pixie hairdo where she looked unrecognizable.
Braxton opted to show off the new hairstyle with the perfect dress. Via Instagram, the diva turned heads in a red cut-out dress that featured a sizzling thigh-high slit up on the side.
The red dress, which is perfect for the holidays, featured one sleeve and a cut-out on the side that revealed lots of skin.
Braxton wore no jewelry and minimal makeup, letting her blonde hair and jaw-dropping dress take center stage.
The “Un-Break, My Heart” artist posed on a chair with her legs spread and gazed at the camera.
Those who have been following Braxton’s impressive career realized that the dress and the setting for the shoot are reminiscent of the visual for her hit song “Spanish Guitar.”
The Braxton Family Values star was praised for slaying the look by the social media user: “Starting off this day with blessing us with Holiday Slayage!! ?❤️”
One fan had this to say about Braxton’s decision to ditch her famous black hair: “Beautiful!!!! Love your hair!!!! ????.”
The 53-year-old Grammy winner received this comment: “Giving me very much 90’s vibe??.”
Braxton’s hairstylist, Greg Gilmore, did an interview with Hollywood Life and explained the process behind the new ‘do: “I feel that it’s something that requires a lot of focus. You have to be able to see all parts of the head. It would be hard for you to look and see every angle of your own head to make sure that you’re even all the way around. Because you’re working on such a round surface, and to make sure that every inch of your hair is even and makes sense, it would be best to have someone else check that for you.”
He revealed why he picked that soft color for the “Just Be A Man About It” artist: “With Toni, she has a lot of warmth already in her skin, so I thought if she did a blonde that was neutral or too warm, it wouldn’t really hit as well. I think because it’s a different type of blonde that’s kind of unique, that would really make more of a statement for her.”
He also stated: “I also chose that because she is an artist and she’s in the public eye, so I knew that she needed a blonde that was going to be different. However, when people want to achieve certain blondes, I think that caramel, brown, or darker skin tones usually always work best with blondes that are neutral, ash, or have some kind of violet undertone.”
Braxton is still on top of her game.
