Once more, Tamar Braxton is grabbing headlines. This time, for buying a new stunning estate in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles.
Apparently, the R&B star paid more than $2 million for the residence, which sprawls over 3,800 square feet of living space.
The property, which was built as a modern farmhouse, was completed earlier this year. It includes six bedrooms and five bathrooms and an outdoor swimming pool with a waterfall, jacuzzi, and a small guest house.
According to the official description of the luxurious home, it came with “high-quality hardwood floors and high-beamed ceilings equipped with recessed lighting.”
The new home’s purchase marks a massive transition for Braxton, who lived in a 13,716-square-foot property in Calabasas with her former husband, Vincent Herbert.
However, after the couple decided to end their turbulent relationship back in 2017, they tried to sell their impressive mansion without success and are renting it for the impressive $85,000 per month for the time being.
Following her drawn-out divorce with Herbert, Braxton found a new love in the face of the businessman, David Adefeso.
But, the relationship ended suddenly earlier this year, with Adefeso filling for a restraining order against the music diva.
The 49-year-old businessman opened up about the separation and claimed that Braxton abused him physically.
According to Adefeso, at one point, he was assaulted by Braxton while he was “driving at high speed,” and she “attacked with a bloc to [his] neck,” and the attack made him feel confused and worried for his wellbeing.
Braxton will be residing at the gorgeous mansion with her only son, Logan Herbert. After the diva’s recent health scare, she seems to be making bold moves to ensure that she and Logan are in a safe and positive environment as she marches on with the healing process.
Before the public split, the Braxton Family Values star shocked fans with a suicide attempt.
In a new interview on the Facebook Watch series, Peace of Mind With Taraji, hosted by Empire star Taraji P. Henson, Braxton explained that she wanted to end her life because she was embarrassing her son on her various reality shows.
The talented diva confessed: “Logan was the reason why I made that decision. I just felt like he deserved better. I felt like I was embarrassing him, being a fool on TV.”
Henson asked the reality TV star: “You thought he would be better without you?”
An emotional Braxton admitted: “I thought at that moment. Because I knew that’s not what my whole life really was. That’s not who I was. I didn’t want him to be embarrassed in front of his friends. Here is this loudmouth ghetto mama.”
Braxton appears to be hitting the right moves.
