Katharine McPhee‘s fans are eagerly waiting for the American Idol star to finally reveal the gender of the baby she is expecting.
The 36-year-old announced she was pregnant with her first child after months of speculation, and now her numerous admirers are curious if she will have a boy or a girl.
However, McPhee is definitely not making it easier for her fandom. She first hinted on Instagram that she is expecting a baby girl with a new picture and then shared another snap, which made her followers speculate that she might be pregnant with a boy.
In the first snap, David Foster‘s wife posed to the camera dressed in bright pink clothes and captioned her post with multiple pink ribbons.
The post initially convinced the singer’s followers that she is expecting a baby girl, but she then shared a second picture that showed her dressed in a baby blue coat. Many started wondering if McPhee was not hinting that she is carrying a boy.
A fan, who on team boy, told the singer and actress: “Gorgeous!!!! Love it!!! Is the blue color telling us anything?! ??????You look amazing ❣️ Pregnancy agrees with you ?????.”
Another follower, who thinks it is a girl, shared: “Lol if this means u are having a girl congrats but also Omg if David foster has another girl blessed but like OMG major girl dad LOL.”
However, a critic made this remark: “I wonder how you got that gig… I hope you made for the right reasons this man has seven around, and you’re a kind soul so ???? That you don’t get messed over the way all of his other wives have merry Christmas.”
McPhee tied the knot with the renowned music producer, who is 34 years her senior, back in 2019 in a lavish ceremony.
In June, the excited entertainer honored their first wedding anniversary with a throwback picture from their wedding day and the message, “A year ago today I married the love of my life,” and carried on by thanking David for loving her and inspiring her in all aspects of her life.
While this is going to be the first child for McPhee, Foster is already well-versed when it comes to parenthood as he shares five daughters with three of his former partners.
The power couple is said to be close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
