Days after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took part in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey; Queen Elizabeth II issued an official response.
However, now, many royal experts are pushing the bombshell claim that it was never Queen Elizabeth who penned the statement because she is 94 years old.
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made numerous allegations against the royal family, the Queen decided to strike a diplomatic tone in her response.
The words that came from Buckingham Palace showed compassion and understanding towards the pain that Prince Harry and his wife claimed that they endured.
The statement ended with a sentence filled with love that showed that Her Majesty was offering an olive branch.
According to experts who are well connected to the royal family, Queen Elizabeth is not the one who formulated the statement.
And Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, certainly did not contribute to the statement because he was still in the hospital dealing with health issues.
Prince Charles drafted the official statement after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to put the monarchy into full crisis mode.
Royal expert Robert Jobson said via Hello that Prince Charles took charge of the matter and added: “I think the Prince of Wales has also taken the lead on how the palace has responded.”
He went on to explain why it was necessary for the eldest son of The Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh be the one taking the lead on the complicated matter: “The Queen is 94, and the Duke of Edinburgh is incapacitated, so he will be trying to placate and learn lessons from this so something can be worked out to everyone’s satisfaction. The royal family likes to do things as a team, and if the team is being trashed, they like to react as a unit and a family.”
In the tell-all interview watched by millions, Prince Harry and his wife confessed that an unnamed member of the royal family had asked about Archie‘s skin color.
The former actress also confessed that she had suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant.
Buckingham Palace issued the following statement that read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
It concluded by: “Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
Fans of the royal family are still hoping that the two sides will meet in the middle and make peace for good.
