Prince William and Kate Middleton have released two new photographs to mark their 10th anniversary, along with a tearjerking video that featured the royals and their children having fun.
Several royal experts have revealed that they believe that Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to share the precious family moments in response to Prince Harry‘s insensitive comment about his bother being trapped.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London, after meeting ten years previously while they were both studying at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland.
Fast forward to the present day, where the Cambridges are now a family of five, and William and Kate are celebrating ten years of marriage.
The new photographs released for their anniversary were taken by photographer Chris Floyd, who has worked with celebrities David Bowie, Sir Paul McCartney, and Oasis. He is typically known for his work in the Britpop era of the 1990s.
The beautiful snaps were shot on the grounds of Kensington Palace — the official home of Prince William and Kate Middleton and their three children; Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 3.
In one of the photos, the couple looks relaxed and happy as they stand in the courtyard alongside each other beaming.
The famous engagement ring, which once belonged to William’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, was visible on the hand of the Duchess of Cambridge. She also wore a bohemian-style blue dress believed to have cost £195, over $269.
In another photo, William and Kate are seen sitting together in a garden. The future king wore a casual blue sweater and a shirt, complementing Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge‘s outfit perfectly.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, who rarely post videos of their private family life, got out of their comfort zone and also delighted fans by sharing an unexpected clip where they are seen with their three children having the time of their lives.
In the video, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — could be seen laughing and running on freshly cut green grass, climbing on sand dunes on a beach.
The family of five also spent quality time together as they sat around a campfire toasting marshmallows.
Royal and body language expert Judi James explained that the future king and his wife wanted to answer Prince Harry’s comments in his Oprah Winfrey interview where he said: “I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped. My father [Prince Charles] and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”
James explained: “This film seems to fly in the face of Harry’s recent claims about William being “trapped” in the royal family and unable to act freely. The playful, outdoor behavior here is all about freedom of both actions and emotions, and the three children look wonderfully uninhibited as they run about having fun.”
Many royal fans were in tears after seeing the happy family.
A royal insider has said that William is “extremely proud” of how Kate Middleton has adapted to life in the royal family and has “made the job her own.”
The source also remarked that the Cambridges “are a real team now.” The official Instagram account of Queen Elizabeth II reshared the photos and wished the couple a “very happy” wedding anniversary.
