Prince Harry recently returned to London, where he was reunited briefly with a few royal family members.
He left his wife, Meghan Markle, behind in California to unveil a statue of his late mother, Princess Diana, with his older brother, Prince William.
After his bombshell interviews where he made jaw-dropping revelations about Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II‘s failed parenting skills; Prince Harry put on a brave face for the media as he stood and chatted with his brother at the event.
Prince Harry and Prince William reunited in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace to pay tribute to their mom.
Despite the playful and diplomatic interactions between Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his brother, many family members, who attended the somber event, are not convinced that the healing process between the duo has begun.
While none of the Mountbatten-Windsor members attended, many of Diana’s relatives were present at the unveiling ceremony.
Prince Harry and the heir to the throne were greeted by Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, and sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes.
An insider has revealed that they were left divided by what they witnessed between the two princes.
Some believe that there is hope, the healing is possible, and the bond that existed between Prince Harry and the Duke of Cambridge can be repaired.
However, others think the rift is everlasting, and they are putting the blame on Prince Harry because he cannot be trusted after so many embarrassing leaks and confessions.
A source said: “Despite William and Harry coming together this week for the sole cause of commemorating their mother’s legacy, Harry is very much on the outside. They put on a show, did what they had to do to make sure the day went without a hitch, and said goodbye.”
The royal insider went on to reveal to The Mirror: “It was nothing more, and there was nothing to discuss. Things are still far too raw for William and other members of the family to entertain Harry, so it’s best to let things lie for the moment.”
Another source claimed: “On the one hand you have Diana’s family, as well as members of the royal family, who will be holding on to any crumb of hope that the two brothers will repair their relationship and on the other, some definitely feel the damage is done, and it is almost impossible for Harry to be trusted again.”
The duo has met face-to-face only twice in the past year — for Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh‘s funeral, and Princess Diana’s statue.
According to reports, Prince Harry and his brother rarely communicate by phone. Meghan Markle and her husband announced the birth of their baby girl, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, in a text message that was sent out to only Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Many royal experts believe that the painful truth bombs dropped by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will always remain tough pills for Prince William to swallow.
Prince Harry fled London 48 hours and landed in California after his speedy appearance at the ceremony, and it is believed that he was not able to see his father or grandmother before leaving.
