Reality TV star Erika Jayne is indirectly speaking out about an incident involving her co-star, Garcelle Beauvais, during the latest episode of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.
Viewers of the series watched a massive blow-up between Jayne and Beauvais over the revelation of multiple secret phone calls from estranged husband Tom Girardi.
Jayne confessed to her co-star that her husband, who is facing a mountain of legal issues, has been telling her that he still loves her, but thus far, she has declined to answer him.
A person close to Erika Jayne explained that the influencer was lashing out at the producers of the series, who discovered the private calls because of a hot mic.
The singer and television personality claimed that she had a private exchange with her friend, Crystal Kung Minkoff, where she revealed in the midst of the public divorce and ongoing financial and cheating scandals, she still gets phone calls from her former spouse.
The producers accidentally heard the news and used it on the series without her permission.
Erika Jayne said that she was betrayed by the heads of the series, who made it seem like she was outraged at Beauvais for quizzing her about the phone calls.
The 50-year-old actress slammed the network for using her pain for ratings and to create fake drama.
A source close to the TV star explained to Page Six: “They cut it and paste it in a way to make it look like she was upset, but she was actually mad that Garcelle was told what to say three times, and she took the bait. They had three different conversations about the same subject.”
The insider went on to reveal to the publication: “What they didn’t show is that Erika and Crystal [Kung Minkoff] had a private conversation where no cameras were on, and producers heard it via their mics. When they got in the car, producers said they overheard it and asked Crystal to ask [Erika] on camera. Bravo didn’t want to do the fourth wall. They pulled a fast one.”
However, another source close to production denied the claims by revealing, “Erika’s reaction to Garcelle was genuine.”
Lisa Rinna addressed the behind-the-scenes drama in a post that read: “Dang it…I wish they had shown the screaming fight between the producer and Erika last night on the show in La Quinta. Now that would have been epic TV. Too bad. Bravo Bravo F–king Bravo.”
Some are wondering if this angle will benefit the show.
