It was a weekend of significant changes and substantial first steps for the power couple. More than 13 years after Travis Barker was on board a fatal plane crash that claimed the lives of four people, he did something unexpected.
Pictures have surfaced via TMZ showing that the rocker did the impossible — he was able to get on a jet after he said he would never fly again. Travis Barker is the lone survivor of the horrific plane crash that occurred in 2008.
While traveling from South Carolina to California after a concert, Barker’s private plane was engulfed in fire after the tires blew. The accident killed Barker’s friends — Charles “Che” Still and Chris Baker — as well as pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland.
Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, who had survived the crash, died a year later after a drug overdose.
Barker, who often spoke about his fear of flying, made the gut-wrenching decision to travel to Mexico with Kardashian by his side.
The couple and momager Kris Jenner flew to Mexico. However, it appears that it was not easy because Barker was one hour late to the airport.
A source claimed that the pair is in for the long run and added: “Kourtney and Travis have a long, long history and years of friendship; Kourtney was ready for a relationship with a more mature guy when they got together. They’ve felt like family for years, and she’s really close with Alabama [Barker’s daughter], who’s just a cool rock star kid.”
