It is official — Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have welcomed their first child into the world.
The Saturday Night Live comedian broke the news on social media and hilariously dragged his friend and co-host, Michael Che, into it.
On Wednesday, Jost explained that his wife had given birth to a healthy baby boy named Cosmo. The proud father said that he loves the baby boy and concluded that Che has more information on the matter.
He used the hashtags in the caption to reveal what he will be doing after welcoming his new bundle of joy. He is heading to Disney World.
His sweet yet funny announcement via Instagram read: “Ok, ok, we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much. #wegotawaywithitforalongtime #nokidspolicy #we’regoingtodisneyworld”
Cosmo is Johansson’s second child — she also shares a 6-year-old daughter, Rose, with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
The rumors of the star’s pregnancy started swirling in July after she declined to make a red carpet appearance for her new film, Black Widow.
Johansson was not only the lead actress, but she is also an executive producer. She took part in promotional appearances via Zoom and brilliantly hid the lower part of her body to conceal her baby bump.
At the time, a source told Page Six that Johansson, 36, and Jost, 39, were expecting their first child together, and they were doing their best to keep the pregnancy a secret.
The insider stated: “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”
The person went on to reveal: “She hasn’t been doing many interviews or events to promote Black Widow, which is surprising since it is a huge Marvel/Disney release, and she is both the star and an executive producer.”
Earlier this month, she filed a lawsuit against Disney for an alleged contract breach. Some observers are wondering if Jost’s message is not alluding to his spouse’s situation with Disney.
The Avengers star quietly wed Jost in October 2020 after three years of dating.
She kept her wedding private but briefly spoke about the proposal by saying: “He’s got a lot behind that news desk he’s hiding. He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. But yeah, I was surprised. Even if you kind of imagine what that moment’s gonna be like, it’s still a beautiful moment.”
Johansson was also previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds.
