It appears that Prince Harry should do some additional preparations before going on with his planned memoir, as a royal expert recently claimed that the Duke of Sussex was heading toward a personal disaster if he did not take some precautions first.
Prince Harry, who often talks about genetic pain, is warned that he might be inflicting some on his son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, and might cause a significant scandal later in life.
According to Marlene Koenig, a renowned expert on the British royal family, Prince Harry would make a huge mistake if he does not consult his father, Prince Charles, before completing his book.
Apparently, the Duke of Sussex started writing his autobiography around one year ago and has struck a multi-million deal with Penguin Random House for its publication.
The former senior royal announced the news about the upcoming memoir by saying he was extremely grateful to share his experiences and wanted people to be able to read a firsthand account of his life.
The Duke of Sussex’s announcement was confirmed by Penguin Random House, as the publishing company issued a statement saying the book was going to be “an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time.”
However, Koenig is convinced that if Prince Harry proceeds with his memoir, he could potentially damage the relationship with his own son, Archie, in the years to come.
The royal expert stated that while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are free to do whatever they want, they still need to communicate with the rest of the royal family.
And if the Duke of Sussex thought that writing a memoir was communicative enough, then he is “missing the context that he needs to talk with his father.”
Koenig explained further that “life is a circle,” and Prince Harry risked having the same thing happen to him with Archie.
The royal expert said: “While I think Meghan Markle and Harry need to do what they want to do, both sides need to communicate. If this is how he’s communicating, by writing a book, he’s missing the context that he needs to talk to his father.”
She added: “Because life is a circle – he could have the same thing happen to him. He talks about being a good father; we don’t know how his son will react years later; he could have issues.”
It is not clear that Prince Harry will take this into consideration.
