Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’ Lawsuit Takes Unexpected Turn After Birth Of New Baby With Husband Colin Jost

Scarlett Johansson Black Widow Lawsuit New Baby Cosmo With Colin Jost

Black Widow performed decently at the Box Office and with critics. However, a lawsuit brought by the star of the movie, Scarlett Johansson, against Disney is having unexpected ramifications.

Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, who worked on four Marvel Studios movies, are not sure they will return to the studio to direct another project.

This reported impasse has a lot to do with the lawsuit. Some observers are even alleging that Johansson has changed the movie industry in ways that are hard to fully appreciate at the moment.

In her suit, the popular actress claims that she lost up to $50 million in bonuses when Disney opted to release the movie in theaters on the same day it was made available for streaming.

After getting $20 million for the part, she was expected to make a lot more with bonuses linked to different milestones at the box office. The case is stalling at the moment after the judge who was presiding over the proceedings recused himself.

Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson became a mother for the second time as the Black Widow star and her spouse, comedian Colin Jost, welcomed their son, Cosmo.

This is the second daughter of the 36-year-old actress, who shares her firstborn child, Rose Dorothy, with her former husband, Romain Dauriac.

Johansson and Dauriac separated in 2016 and divorced one year later; however, it did not take long for the actress to find love again, as she and Jost reportedly started their romance in 2017.

The pair officially confirmed they are in a relationship in December that same year. The couple tied the knot in 2020 very privately due to the ongoing pandemic and because Johansson preferred to have an intimate ceremony, as the actress opened up later about the wedding planning.

The organization of the ceremony was not such a trivial task, and the Hollywood sensation explained that there was a lot to take into consideration so all of the CDC guidelines and COVID protocols were followed and the guests could feel comfortable and safe.

However, it appears that Johansson did most of the planning and decision-making as Jost previously admitted that his partner just had a “better taste.”

The Saturday Night Live actor confessed that he avoided making fashionable decisions when it was possible because he did not like to “pretend to know much about things or have taste in things.”

Rumors about the actress’s pregnancy first started circulating back in July, when some noticed that Johansson was absent from a couple of Black Widow events.
