Many fans were expecting Kylie Jenner not only to attend the 2021 Met Gala but she was supposed to announce her second pregnancy and debut her baby bump in a stunning dress.
However, things did not go as planned. A family member accidentally leaked the pregnancy news, and she decided to confirm it with an emotional video that featured her boyfriend, Travis Scott, and their daughter, Stormi Webster.
Throughout the week, the future billionaire gave supporters hope that she would walk the red carpet of the charity event after she took New York by storm by making high-profile appearances at several fashion shows.
The pregnant mogul was also seen dining with many celebrity friends. However, on Monday, the 24-year-old shared a brief message explaining that she could not attend the event and declined to give any further comments.
Kylie Jenner penned this note: “I’m so sad I couldn’t make it this year. I can’t wait to see all the looks.”
Many of Jenner’s fans stepped out to show support and to tell her to focus on her baby.

A source close to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed that Travis Scott’s partner was not feeling well and preferred to focus on her pregnancy and well-being.
An insider told E! News: “She pulled out last minute because she is overwhelmed and just doesn’t feel great. She did a lot this past weekend and pushed it. Kylie has been going back and forth for the last two months on if she wanted to attend or not and decided she doesn’t really need to go.”
The source added: “Kylie is focused on her pregnancy right now and just wants to take it easy.”
A second source told E! confirmed that Jenner initially planned to announce her second pregnancy and debut her baby bump at the Met Gala, but it “didn’t work out the way she had hoped.”
Despite Jenner not feeling great at the moment, she celebrated Scott’s big win at the MTV Awards with lots of flowers.
