The power couple has been married since 2009. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard‘s actress posted a sweet photo and message in honor of her daughter’s 14th birthday, who celebrated her big day on Sept. 21.
The actress and filmmaker took to Instagram, where she posted an adorable picture of herself with Valentina sharing a beautiful moment during a perfect sunset.

Valentina appears to have her eyes closed as Salma Hayek smiles and lovingly gazes at her daughter.
The pair is rocking sweatshirts and simple ponytails in the photo. The mother of one wrote this emotional note: “My precious girl, you are everything to me. Blessed be the day you came into my life to shine your radiant light Happy Birthday ?? Valentina!!!!! Thank you for being YOU.”
While Salma Hayek rarely shares photos of her child, she lights up with pride and love whenever she speaks about her.
Most recently, the Frida star opened up about her decision to scale back on acting opportunities to spend time with her daughter.
Hayek’s impressive Hollywood career includes hundreds of films and an Oscar nomination for her stellar performance as Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in the 2002 biographical film Frida. She called the movie that she also co-produced a lengthy labor of love.
Hayek revealed why she made her daughter a top priority: “I try to be really present with her, and really listen to her, and make it up day by day because they change so quickly.”
The actress, who was 41 years old when she had her daughter, said: “As an older mom, I wanted to be with Valentina as much as possible.”
She continued: “She was with me on the cover shoot and she felt like a participant – she wasn’t just sitting there on the iPad. This is so important. You have to drag children into participating in life. It takes a lot of work, and mummies are very tired because most of us work and life is exhausting, especially if you are an older mom like me, but you have to make the effort.”
Hayek and her husband have been married for close to 12 years.
