Prince Charles has put his foot down when it comes to his younger brother, Prince Andrew, who is embroiled in a never-ending scandal tied to his late friend and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
While Queen Elizabeth II adores her son, she has decided not to intervene in his favor this time around.
For several years now, the British family found its prestigious reputation being dragged in the mud because of the international sex scandal.
And this week, Prince Andrew’s past behavior caused additional pain and humiliation to Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and the rest of the royal family.
Prince Andrew has been hit with a sexual assault lawsuit by lawyers for Virginia Giuffre. The alleged victim has done several interviews where she revealed that she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew at Jeffrey Epstein’s London home when she was a minor.
She also said Queen Elizabeth’s second son abused her in Epstein’s mansion in Manhattan and on his private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The attorneys filed the Lawsuit at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, but the documents have been mailed to Prince Andrew’s Los Angeles-based lawyer, Andrew Brettler.
Giuffre’s lawyers revealed that Prince Andrew had been served while in London. The Duke of York has 21 days to respond or could face a default judgment.
Prince Andrew, who has not been charged with any crime, has maintained that he is innocent. Prince Andrew stated in a self-destructive BBC interview: “I can absolutely categorically tell you it never happened.”
Prince Andrew has told his entourage that he expects the humiliating legal matter to blow over and hopes that Queen Elizabeth will plead his case with Prince Charles to return to public duties.
However, according to a royal expert, Angela Levin, Queen Elizabeth will not overrule Prince Charles’s decisions.
The famous author shared: “She said he couldn’t be. She adores Andrew and enjoys his company. “I think that she won’t overrule what Charles says. The rest of the royals won’t want him to do that.”
Levin went on to say that Prince Andrew is hoping to be front and center during Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee in 2022.
She continued: “He said a couple of days ago he was waiting for it to all blow over. It shows how naïve and arrogant he is because it’s not going to blow over. You can tell that a mile off; and that he will return to public duties before the platinum jubilee next year.”
She concluded by: “It’s come back that no one thinks that’s going to happen at all. I think the Queen is very susceptible not to micromanage and to bring people in.”
It was previously revealed that Prince Andrew tried hiding at the Queen’s private 550-acre Balmoral estate to avoid getting served with the legal documents.
The Sun revealed: “Royal aides are said to be furious he fled his Windsor home last week. They fear it makes it look to Brits as if the monarch is harboring him.”
Prince Andrew has become a problem for the royal family.
