Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo, is all grown up and has cemented her much-talked-about romance with boyfriend Dralin Carswell, 20, with an official Instagram photo. However, it seems amid controversy that the young star has deleted the picture.
At the age of 6, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson burst on the scene with her bubbly personality on the TLC series Toddlers & Tiaras.
She went on to appear on numerous shows with her wild, controversial, and unpredictable family including, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, June “Mama June” Shannon, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, and Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson.
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star is now in high school, and it seems that she is in a serious relationship.
In a recent interview, the 16-year-old TV personality confirmed that she has been dating a college student for the past seven months.
Despite the controversies surrounding the romance because of the age difference, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has briefly shunned the critics and took to Instagram where she shared a lovey-dovey photo with her beau.
In the viral picture that has been deleted from Instagram, the pair, who seems eager to celebrate Halloween, is twinning.
Sitting on an old tractor, Darlin Craswell and his girlfriend are both rocking identical black T-shirts that read, “That’s How I Roll.”
Craswell and Thomspon are holding hands tightly, and they flash huge smiles. The former Mama June: From Not to Hot star captioned the photo: “?? spooky season ??.”
Recently, Alana Thomspon sat down for an interview with Teen Vogue and made the heartbreaking confession that she has no friends, except for Darlin Craswell.
The teen confessed that she stays away from people because she does not trust them and feels they will use her to their benefit.
June “Mama June” Shannon’s daughter said: “To be honest, I do not have many friends. At all. Because I feel like folks are so much like, oh my God, I’m friends with Honey Boo Boo. I don’t trust nobody really, so I don’t have friends.”
She went on to disclose more devasting information about her social life: “I feel like my generation is probably making it worse. Everybody’s all about body positivity, body positivity until they see a body they don’t like…I don’t understand why people think this way. Just because I got a little bit of extra meat on my bones, you want to hate me? I’ll never get body shaming.”
When rumors started running high in March claiming that Alana Thompson was in a relationship, a source close to her revealed that her family does not care about the age gap and approves of Darlin Craswell.
The insider claimed: “Dralin and Alana are attached at the hip and hang out together all the time. He was quiet at first, but he’s like one of the family now. He’s just as fun and crazy as the rest of them.”
The couple resides in Georgia, where the age of consent is 16. Dralin Carswell was attending school in Nashville and moved to Georgia after the coronavirus pandemic hit.
He now lives near Alana Thompson and her sister, Lauryn Shannon.
