Kanye West was sitting front and center as Kim Kardashian West went there during her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.
In her memorable opening monologue, she spoke about her sex tape, the rumored plastic surgeries, Kanye West’s controversial personality, Caitlyn Jenner, and OJ Simpson.
She also spoke about Kanye West’s failed political campaign and took shots at almost all of her sisters.
Many were surprised by Kardashian’s decision to talk about her divorce from the controversial rapper.
The reality TV star said: “I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. So, when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.”
It has been confirmed that West was present during the rehearsals. He was there during the monologue and had a sweet reaction to it all.
An eyewitness, who spoke to Page Six, explained throughout the episode the former couple “kept waving and making eyes at each other.”
After the show, West and Kardashian drove away in the same car to an after-party. Ahead of Kim Kardashian’s big SNL debut, it was reported that the billionaire artist was there every step of the way, helping her with her acting skills and going over some controversial jokes.
West even vetoed the ones he disapproved of. Despite the numerous collaborations and tight bond, a source told PEOPLE magazine that Kardashian is moving full speed ahead with the divorce.
The family friend explained that the duo has worked on the issues and is in a great place. The person in the know told the publication: “Kim and Kanye are friends, but that’s it. She is still moving forward with the divorce. She loves having Kanye’s support, though. They were not in a good place around the time Kim filed for divorce. She is so happy that things are better now. It’s all very beneficial for the kids.”
While the SKIMS founder and her former spouse keep insisting that they are friends, they often send tongues wagging with their public outings and behavior.
Days before flying to New York together for the SNL appearance, Kardashian and West were spotted having dinner in Malibu.
During the summer, Kardashian attended all of West’s Donda concerts and went as far as wearing a wedding dress and had a fake wedding vow renewal during one of the shows.
