Meadow Walker, the daughter of late Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker, is now a married woman at age 22.
Friday afternoon, the model and founder of the Paul Walker Foundation, revealed she tied the knot with Louis Thornton-Allan after a two-month engagement.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Dominican Republic, and Meadow wore a Givenchy Haute Couture dress. The date of the ceremony was not revealed.
Fast & Furious legend Vin Diesel walked her down the aisle during the beachside wedding. He is her godfather. The 54-year-old father of three is very close to his goddaughter.
In a June interview with Extra, he shared: “She’s the first person on Father’s Day to wish me Happy Father’s Day.” He continued: “To see her with my children is one of the most beautiful things. There are moments when I see her playing with [his daughter] Pauline, and it hits me so deep cause I can only imagine what my brother sees when he sees that.”
Vin’s presence at the wedding was a touching note for fans. Some of them said they got emotional after watching the images.
Meadow posted a video of the ceremony on her Instagram account with the following caption: “We’re married.” In it, the couple was all smiles.
The happy bride told Vogue: “The pandemic impacted our plans. Louis’s family wasn’t able to attend. A lot of close friends whom we consider family were also unable to attend due to travel restrictions.”
Many actors from the Fast & Furious franchise congratulated the pair for this momentous day. Tyrese Gibson and Jordana Brewster, who was also at the wedding ceremony, all expressed their support on social media.
Louis wants to make a name for himself in acting, and he is currently enrolled at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City.
Meadow’s father died On November 30, 2013, at 40. She was 15 at the time.
Last year, she paid him homage with a sweet photo of the two of them napping. She wrote this caption to go with it: “A silly day to remember in sadness. Today’s a celebration of the love and happiness you brought to the world. here’s a photo of my best bud & I napping.”
Louis is from London, and Meadow grew up in Hawaii, but they now call New York City home. Supporters are rooting for the young couple.
Fans say they look great together and appear really in love. In the face of tragedy, Meadow has always carried herself with a lot of grace and deserves happiness.
