The royal family has discovered that they have a problem after Queen Elizabeth II faced a health scare that required her to be briefly hospitalized.
The British royal clan faces a shortage of working senior members and has been scrambling to find replacements as the Queen recuperates.
That situation has been made even more complicated with the absences of Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
The couple exited London and stepped back from their royal duties in early 2020.
The former actress later revealed that she fled the UK to protect her mental health and her family.
In a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, the aspiring politician confessed that she was suicidal while living in the palace and she did not receive the proper help that she needed.
Prince Harry stated that he was also neglected and felt the urge the leave to become financially independent.
A group of royal experts recently sat down for a lengthy conversation about how the family is scrambling to find capable royals to step in for Queen Elizabeth, who was forced to cancel multiple duties and trips under her medical team’s order.
According to the experts, even though the famous family struggles to carry out the 95-year-old monarch’s duties, Prince William and Prince Charles will not call on Prince Harry no matter how desperate they become.
The Mail on Sunday‘s assistant editor, Kate Mansey, historian Dr. Ed Owens and Daily Mail Diary editor Richard Eden debated whether the royal family would ever reach out to Prince Harry.
Owens shared: “It is a major issue for the Royal Family not having enough senior royals to step in for the Queen if she is too ill to be involved in the day-to-day business of running the monarchy. This is a problem. There has been a gradual downsizing of the Royal Family, and it raises questions about the future.”
Host Jo Elvin asked the question on everybody’s mind: “Is there an argument for getting on the phone to Harry?”
Eden responded by saying that Prince Harry would love to have the royals beg for his return, but that is unlikely ever to happen.
The expert revealed why Prince Harry would be the last person to receive a phone call: “I think he would love it if the Royal Family come back begging. Or demanding. But, I think he is the last person who will be getting the call. There are others who would step into the roles if needed, obviously the Cambridges, the Duchess of Cornwall. Princess Anne will always do her duty. I don’t think there will be any desperate call to California.”
Do not expect Prince William to phone his younger brother anytime soon. Another royal expert revealed that last month Prince William hosted a party to thank the donors who made it possible to erect the sculpture of his mother, Princess Diana.
According to Robert Lacey, during the event, Prince William hinted that the relationship with his brother was “poor, definitely poor.”
The author shared: “I’ve spoken to two people from that party, and it was quite clear from things he said that his anger towards Harry remains.”
He added: “He remains unhappy about what his brother has done. There is no immediate possibility of any reconciliation. I mean, it’s not wanted on either side. Too many bitter things have been said.”
It is unclear if peace between the two siblings will come in the foreseeable future.
