Lady Gaga, who is on top of her game, is doing the promo rounds for House of Gucci. The 35-year-old A Star Is Born actress was leaving the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Monday when she had a “Marilyn Monroe” moment.
Gaga had appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and her interview aired Tuesday.
However, some have pointed out that she is the one who twirled her skirt, so the description is up for debate. What is clear, the episode got a lot of attention and has gone viral.
The press tour for the film, which will premiere on November 24, was the opportunity for the singer turned movie star to showcase some of her best looks yet.
The blonde bombshell stunned fans with a silver Lanvin trench coat and matching metallic high-heeled shoes while arriving for the taping of the popular talk show.
On Saturday, for the Milan premiere of the Ridley Scott-directed feature, Gaga opted for a custom Atelier Versace gown accompanied by red platform pumps.
The fiery red dress was a real hit with the audience and supporters online. Gaga got similar responses after the UK premiere of the film, where she sported a purple Gucci Pre-Fall 2022 gown. This look was completed by Tiffany & Co jewels.
The New York native is really becoming a presence in the movie industry. In a recent interview, she shared what it was like to take on the part of Patrizia Reggiani.
The woman gained notoriety for plotting the death of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci, in 1995. She spent 18 years in prison, was released in 2016, and now lives in Milan.
Gaga told the December issue of British Vogue: “I had some psychological difficulty at one point towards the end of filming. I was either in my hotel room, living and speaking as Reggiani, or I was on set, living and speaking as her. I remember I went out into Italy one day with a hat on to take a walk. I hadn’t taken a walk in about two months, and I panicked,” she said. “I thought I was on a movie set.”
She took things even further and added: “I will be fully honest and transparent: I lived as [Reggiani] for a year and a half. And I spoke with an accent for nine months of that. Off-camera, I never broke. I stayed with her. It was nearly impossible for me to speak in the accent as a blonde. I instantly had to dye my hair, and I started to live in a way whereby anything that I looked at, anything that I touched, I started to take notice of where and when I could see money.”
