Rihanna is doing amazingly well in the fashion and business worlds. She has become a billionaire and seems to be happy with boyfriend rapper A$AP Rocky amid pregnancy rumors.
The 33-year-old Barbados native appears to have it all. Yet, Rihanna’s fans keep her on her toes because they want to hear new music from her, and they are not ready to give up on that.
Rihanna promises new music for “soon”
RiRi released her eight studio album, Anti, in January 2016. It contained hits like “Work,” a collaboration with Drake and “Love on the Brain.”
Fans have been waiting for close to six years. To make matters worse, she has only done a couple of features with other artists in that timespan.
She worked on “Wild Thoughts” with DJ Khaled, Kendrick Lamar‘s “Loyalty,” and “Selfish” from Future.
Those tracks are from 2017 and became huge hits, leaving her supporters wanting more. To be clear, the “Pour It Up” artist has always said she plans to release new music, but she wants to get it right.
Rihanna has also confirmed that she is always in the studio working on new music. Last week, while exiting her car, a cameraman asked about her next album, and she replied, “Soon soon soon.”
Those few little words were enough to get fans excited again, and her response created a lot of buzz on social media. However, some skeptics say that they have been there before.
Rihanna has been promising R9 album for a while
This is not the first time that the “Diamonds” singer claimed that she was close to releasing her next album. At some point, it was even reported that the project would have a dancehall and reggae flavor to it.
Eventually, Rihanna came back and said in an interview that the album would cover many genres. The business mogul elaborated on her process by saying: “I’m always working on new music. Just because I haven’t released an album in a few years doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on it.”
She continued: “I’m not just going to put music out because people are craving it. I’m going to make it worth the wait – and it will be worth the wait.”
Rihanna applies the same philosophy in everything that she does. The beauty maven is an absolute perfectionist. She explained: “For me, it’s about achieving excellence. That’s why I will never put an album out for the sake of it or do a movie for the sake of it or a fashion collaboration for the sake of it. I have to believe in it.”
This mentality has served well in business.

In 15 years, Rihanna has become one of the most powerful women on the planet. She sits at number 68 on Forbes‘ 18th annual rankings of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
According to the business magazine, she has a net worth of $1.7 billion. She has accomplished this feat because she owns 50 percent of her company, Fenty Beauty.
With all this success outside of music, it may take more time for the album to be released.
However, Rihanna was said to be very inspired after a July studio session with beau A$AP Rocky.
