Jennifer Lopez seems thankful that Friday is here. The 52-year-old bombshell posted two sizzling new photos on Instagram.
In the pictures, she is seen slightly pulling her gray sweatpants down to flash her incredible abs and flat stomach. Her caption for one of the images says it all. She writes, “Ready for the weekend ✨✨ Happy Friday!!!!”
Lopez has her hair in a ponytail and a member of her beauty team is smiling in the background.
The images are stunning and some people think that the mother of two may have used some filters for her face to look this young.
Filters or not, her followers loved the posting. Some critics are wondering nonetheless if she is not using the photos to change the conversation about her boyfriend, Ben Affleck.
Mr. Affleck is receiving backlash from several corners after his comments to Howard Stern this week about his struggles with alcoholism while married to Jennifer Garner.
On the show, the actor said he would still be drinking if he had remained married to Garner, from whom he split in 2015.
He stated: “We probably would’ve ended up at each other’s throats. I’d probably still be drinking. It’s part of why I started drinking … because I was trapped. I was like ‘I can’t leave ’cause of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do?’ What I did was drink a bottle of scotch and fall asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.”
The Oscar-winning director added: “Ultimately, we tried, we tried, we tried because we had kids, but both of us felt like we didn’t want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage. Everything you read [in the news about the divorce] was bulls***. The truth was we took our time, we made our decision … We grew apart. We had a marriage that didn’t work. This happens. She’s somebody I love and respect, but to whom I shouldn’t be married any longer. We did it amicably. We did our best. ”
As well as angry social media users, a source has claimed that Jennifer Lopez — Affleck’s current girlfriend — is also “p*ssed” at the comments.
The source claimed that J-Lo feels like she is being pulled into something because she is dating Affleck, 49.
The singer and actress does not want to be dragged into it, especially as she is trying to get to know Jennifer Garner and the three children she shares with Ben Affleck, the source claimed.
They added that it was “reckless” and “cavalier” of Affleck to make the comments on Howard Stern’s radio show this week.
The insider told Page Six: “[Lopez] is pissed. She is getting pulled into this because she is dating him. She doesn’t want to be dragged into this. She has met Jennifer Garner. She is trying to get to know her and Ben’s kids. It’s reckless and cavalier of him.”
The Alias star and Affleck were married from 2005 until 2015 and have three children together — Violet, 16, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9.
Another source said the focus of everyone involved is on their children. Jennifer Lopez has two children of her own — twins Max and Emme, 13 — whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
This past Halloween, Affleck, Garner, and Lopez got together with all their children to go trick or treating.
The children have also watched the musical “Hamilton” together and visited Disney’s Magic Castle.
Many people on social media and especially Twitter users were quick to jump to Garner’s defense and accused Ben Affleck of refusing to take accountability for his own actions.
One user questioned when Affleck would accept that alcoholism was his own problem, while another pointed out that Jennifer Garner was pictured driving her ex-husband to rehab in 2018.
They pointed out this may even have saved his life, commenting that Garner did not “drive him to drink” but did drive him to rehab.
