It was previously believed that Prince William and his spouse, Kate Middleton, would travel to the United States in the fall of 2022.
However, it is now being claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be getting a private visit from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in a few weeks.
Prince William announced his trip during the inaugural green carpet gala for his Earthshot Prize awards that were held in mid-October in London.
The heir to the British throne hinted that he and his wife, Kate Middleton, would make the journey accross the Atlantic to attend the second awards ceremony next fall.
Prince William announced at the event: “I hope you agree that London and the U.K. has put on quite a show for our first year. So for the second year, we need to pass the baton to a country whose leadership is essential for all five of our Earthshots. Where better than the nation that inspired the moonshot all those years ago. I’m delighted to announce that the Earthshot Prize will be heading to the United States of America in 2022.”
However, recently, a royal expert revealed that Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, might be heading to America much sooner than expected.
Stewart Pearce a friend of Princess Diana, claimed that the Duke of Cambridge has decided to travel to California to celebrate Kate Middleton’s birthday with the Suesexes.
Talking to Royally U.S., the pal shared: “That’s what I heard, absolutely. Particularly around the middle part of January, to celebrate the wonder of being 40 – Kate’s 40th birthday.”
Pearce claimed that royal sources told him that the visit would serve another purpose, Prince Harry’s children — Archie and Lilibet — will finally meet and bond with Prince William’s kids — George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Meghan Markle’s firstborn, Archie, left London at an early age, and their baby daughter, Lilibet Diana, born in California, has yet to meet any of her royal relatives.
He went on to say: “And for the children to meet one another, be friendly and do all sorts of family things. Particularly in that location which is so easy to access the beach and go on cycle rides without being too disturbed by the paparazzi or people who are over-eager to meet.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to London for Christmas, but they declined. It now seems Prince William and his wife have scheduled the trip to spend time with the independent royals and start the healing after their prolonged rift.
