Prince Harry and his father, Prince Charles, are finding ways back to each other — but it is being done via baby steps.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, more or less confirmed this week that the relationship with Prince Charles is heading in the right direction with their own words.
Those, who were eagerly waiting to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby daughter, Lilibet Diana, got their wish.
The independent royals unveiled their annual Christmas card that featured both of their children, Lilibet, born in June, and Archie, two years old.
Fans went wild over a giggling Lilibet and Archie’s fiery red hair. The power couple also penned a caption to accompany the family portrait.
The message read in part: “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa,’ and Lili made us a family.”
Many royal experts were quick to notice the fact that Markle, 40, and the British prince, 37, made the revelation that Archie is carrying on with a beautiful family tradition. He calls his father “papa” instead of dad or daddy.
This portion of the card is seen as a touching tribute to Prince Charles and his late father, Prince Philip.
The heir to the throne has revealed on numerous occasions that he grew up calling his father papa.
While paying homage to his father, Prince Charles said: “My dear papa was a very special person who I think, above all else, would have been amazed by the reaction and the touching things that have been said about him.”
Royal pundits believe that it was a way for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to say that the strained relationship with Prince Charles has taken a turn for the better.
Since stepping down from their royal duties and leaving the UK, Prince Harry threw his father under the proverbial bus in several interviews.
The feuding between Prince Harry and his father took an unfortunate twist after a royal expert revealed that he was the royal that made the racist comments about his unborn grandchildren.
However, recently an update on the situation between Prince Charles came from reliable royal sources claiming that there had been some positive development and added: “Charles and Harry are in communication. There [are] still a lot of issues the two of them need to work out and move forward.”
The duo still has a lot of work to do to fix their issues.
