Kanye West is making life a bit more complicated for ex-wife Kim Kardashian with his latest move that many deem surprising and even desperate.
The pair announced their divorce earlier this year, and Kardashian has started dating Saturday Night Live star, Pete Davidson.
The romance between the billionaire reality TV star and the comedian has been advancing in the right direction rather quickly.
The lovebirds have been spending time together in New York and California. Kardashian has introduced the actor to her family and vice versa.
Meanwhile, Kanye West, who is said to be dating young model Vinetria, has been doing his best to get the media’s attention and apparently convince Kim Kardashian that he wants her back.
The rapper and billionaire designer has gone on epic rants professing his love for the mother of his four children.
His lawyers have set up roadblocks to make it impossible for the divorce process to advance and for Kardashian to obtain her freedom as a single woman.
West has taken matters further this week — he has decided to move next to his ex-wife to be closer to his children. However, many see it as a way for him to keep an eye on the men she dates.
The mogul has purchased a multi-million dollar mansion that is located across the street from Kardashian’s home.
West’s paid a whopping $4.5 million for the home. The father of four, who was determined to close the deal, dropped an extra $400,000 for the house that initially was listed for $4,079,000.
West wants to tear down the home and build something extraordinary for himself and his children — North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago,u and Psalm, 2.
A reliable source told E! News: “It made perfect sense for him to have a place near the kids. He scooped it up right when it hit the market in early December and the escrow closed right before Christmas.”
The person in the know added: “The 1-acre lot that is perfect to be developed into whatever he dreams up. It will take time to get pa while and plans and he won’t be able to live there for a while. But he is excited about it and so are the kids.”
The source explained to the publication that West has been living in his Malibu beach with Vinetria, but he wants to be closer to his children, thus the reason for the purchase.
Another insider confirmed to PEOPLE Magazine: “Kanye’s new house is a teardown. He only bought it for the location. It’s near Kim and the kids. He has a vision for the house and plans on starting construction ASAP. It will be family-friendly. He wants to be able to have the kids over as much as possible. Living only in Malibu was making visits more tricky for Kanye.”
Many fans have reacted to the story by saying that West’s epic chess move is another sign that he wants to control every aspect of Kardashian’s dating life.
