The basketball star also apologized to his then-girlfriend, Khloé Kardashian, for cheating on her with Maralee Nichols on multiple occasions.
The athlete told the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star that she did not deserve all the pain and humiliation that he put her through.
Tristan Thompson professed his love for the reality TV star and explained that he has the utmost respect for her.
Thompson did not mention Maralee Nichols by name, and he did not apologize for the lawsuits but did promise to take full responsibility for his actions and to amicably raise their son as a loving and supportive co-parent.
Tristan Thompson said in part: “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established; I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
The serial cheater reached out to Kardashian with these words: “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

Nichols shared a picture that was taken during a night out with friends for the New Year, and she opted for a sexy look.
The new mother made jaws drop in a pair of skin-tight nude leggings and a cropped fur coat that revealed her flat stomach.
She completed the look with matching nude high heels and a small leather bag.
As for Khloé Kardashian, reliable sources have confirmed that she has closed the Tristan Thompson chapter, has been “ignoring the noise,” and is “focused on co-parenting” amid Thompson’s drama, according to E!.
Kardashian and Thompson share daughter True, three, and the pair were trying to have another child together.
The couple split a few years ago after Thompson had inappropriate behavior with Kylie Jenner‘s former BFF, Jordyn Woods.
