For the next 24 hours, Kim Kardashian can breathe a sigh of relief and savor this little win because she and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, will not be subjected to the constant harassment and rants from her ex-husband, Kanye West.
West had been going hard after several comedians, including Trevor Noah and D.L. Hughley.
West became infuriated after Noah and Hughley dared to speak up against his behavior and menacing posts on Instagram.
TMZ has confirmed that Kanye West has been suspended from Instagram for 24 hours.
The temporary ban means that the controversial rapper and billionaire is not allowed to post, comment, send or receive messages.
Meta, the company that owns Instagram, confirmed to TMZ and Page Six that West is facing the consequences of his jaw-dropping actions.
Over the weekend, West woke up at 4 a.m. and flooded his verified social media accounts with a series of posts that mentioned an inappropriate joke about Davidson talking about having sex with babies.
He called Hughley a “drug addict” and used an offensive racial slur against Noah, a South African comedian and host of The Daily Show.
West posted the following insensitive message about the TV host using the word ko*n: “All in together now… K–n baya my lord k–n baya K–n baya my lord K–n baya Oooo’ lord K–n baya.”
West attacked Noah after he put him on the spot for his dangerous words towards the mother of his children and her new boyfriend.
Noah stated: “What [Kardashian is] going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”
Noah said West and Kardashian’s situation was comparable to what his mother went through with his stepfather.
He revealed that people thought his mother, Patricia, was “overreacting” when she said that she was being harassed by her husband until he shot her in the head.
Noah’s mother survived. He added: “As a society, we have to ask ourselves questions. Do we wish to stand by and watch a car crash when we thought we saw it coming?”
A spokesperson for Meta said that the most recent controversial posts violated the company’s policies on hate speech, bullying, and harassment.
Kanye West has been warned if he continues to violate Instagram’s policies, additional steps will be taken against him and his account.
Kardashian appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she explained how she is handling the drama.
The mogul and reality TV star confessed: “It’s the father of my kids. I’ll always be protective. I always want my kids to see the best of the best. As hard as it can be sometimes, I try to ignore it and do whatever’s best for the kids…Take the high road.”
Kardashian added: “This was put in my life for a reason…these challenges. I try to sit still sometimes and say, ‘okay what is this lesson? What am I meant to learn from it? And how can i get through it?'”
Some say that West might launch his own platform.
