Trouble seems to follow Hayden Panettiere and her on-and-off boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, wherever they go.
Several videos and photos have surfaced via TMZ showing that the pair were engaged in a brawl outside the Sunset Marquis hotel.
An eyewitness told the publication that the brawl was between Brian Hickerson and Hayden Panettiere and several other individuals.
Panettiere and her beau were drinking and having a jolly good time when the actress and her companion got into an argument after a patron claimed that Hickerson had spit on him.
The manager of the establishment, who disapproved of the rowdy behavior, decided to escort everyone involved in the melee out.
The situation went from bad to worse once outside. It appears that a fight broke out between Hickerson and another individual.
Hayden Panettiere seemed to get kicked during the tense situation. At some point, the Nashville star could be heard screaming “jail, jail” to her man.
Panettiere was reminding her boyfriend that he is currently on probation until 2025. He was arrested several times for acts of domestic violence against her.
Eventually, the people fighting were separated, and Panettiere, along with her boyfriend, went back to the hotel and apologized to the staff for the inappropriate behavior.
The police were called to the scene, but no arrests were made. A rep for the star was quick to issue a lengthy statement explaining what led to the chaos.
The spokesperson also confirmed that Hayden Panettiere is okay after the madness and added: “While in the restaurant of the Sunset Marquis, Brian Hickerson, who happened to be with Hayden, made a comment to an individual about leaving the waitress a poor tip.”
The statement continued: “That same individual, along with the group he was with, began badgering and shoving Brian, at which point security pushed everyone outside. Brian was attacked by the group, as was Hayden, who, in her best effort, tried to diffuse the situation. Hayden was refused the opportunity to provide a statement to the police as she was escorted back inside. She is okay.”
The statement did not reassure fans of the actress. The video of the incident has gone viral, and many are worried about Panettiere’s well-being.
Hickerson was arrested in 2020, and at the time, Panettiere shared a lengthy message detailing how she survived the abusive relationship.
She wrote: “I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve. I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again. I’m grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life.”
Hickerson and Panettiere reunited shortly after he was released from jail, and they are said to be working on their romance and sobriety.
