Prince Harry And His Brother, Prince William, Facing Unbearable Truth On Somber Sunday

Prince Harry William Princess Diana Mothers Day

While Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, might be thousands of miles apart, they are said to be united by certain painful occasions.

According to a well-respected royal expert, the princes will have a somber Sunday as they remember their late mother, Princess Diana.

On Sunday, March 27th, British people will celebrate Mother’s Day. According to author Duncan Larcombe, it will be both a joyous and painful day for Prince Harry and Prince William.

The brothers will be celebrating their wives and the mother of their children — Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton — but they will also have to face the reality of having a mother who is no longer present with them.

The royal pundit recently appeared on a podcast where he spoke about the day’s importance.

He revealed that its significance grew after the passing of the boys’ mother and added: “It wasn’t until the aftermath of the Death of Princess Diana in 1997 that Mother’s Day took on an extra significance for the Royals. Since then, the fourth Sunday in the Christian festival of Lent – when Mother’s Day is marked in the UK – is shrouded in sadness for William and Harry.”

Prince Harry and Prince William always dreaded the day because it brought a tremendous amount of sadness to the surface.

He shared: “Both the boys have spoken about how difficult they find the day, which for years they would always dread. Prince Charles and the rest of the family were at pains to throw a ring of cotton wool around Diana’s children on the Mothering Sundays that followed her death.”

The royal commentator went to reveal that as the pair grew up, married, and had children of their own, the holiday changed for them.

Prince William and Prince Harry used the occasion to have their five children pay tribute to their grandmother.

The two families used the day to share precious memories about Princess Diana.

He claimed: “But this changed when first William and then Harry had children of their own. Now the focus is on using the day as a chance to tell their children about the amazing grandmother they never met.”

Larcombe went on to say that Prince Harry has decided to follow the pattern set by his brother and focus on his children to distract from the unbearable truth that his mother is gone.

He stated: “Sources say the Duke of Sussex has already followed William’s style of sharing his mother’s memories with his kids. At least by focusing on their own children this year, William and Harry have something to distract them from the elephant in the room.”

According to the royal expert, before “Megxit,” the rift, and the family drama; the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex had a family tradition of comforting each other, but that seems to vanish.

Larcombe concluded by: “Mother’s Day was always an occasion when the brothers gave comfort to each other – sadly one ‘family’ tradition that seems to have all but disappeared.”

The brothers have not revealed much about the state of their relationship in recent months.
