Kim Kardashian is reality TV royalty. Along with her sisters and mother, she proved that they are ratings gold a few days ago with the premiere of their new Hulu series, The Kardashians, which shattered all records for the streaming service.
Pete Davidson, who has been making headlines on two coasts thanks to his steamy romance with Kim Kardashian and his countless controversies with Kanye West, has not appeared on the Hulu show. Why is that?
A source close to the Saturday Night Live star spoke to Page Six and explained that he does not need that publicity because his career has exploded.
The person with ties to Davidson stated: “His career has taken off, what does he need this for? Indeed, Pete Davidson has a long list of projects lined up.
Davidson is set to star in a biopic about Joey Ramone, according to the media outlet.
He has teamed up with SNL co-star Colin Jost for a yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy and a film that focuses on sneakers titled “American Sole.”
The insider noted that all of Davidson’s private life had been made public since he jumped into the romance with Kardashian.
The pal claimed: “Before he met Kim, no one knew what Pete was doing [all the time].”
His entourage and team have warned the comedian that appearing in a Kardashian series will damage him and his career.
Davidson was told to study the downfalls of the many men who entered that perilous vortex.
Tristan Thompson, Lamar Odom, Kris Humphries, and Kanye West, to some extent, have been swooped up in the Kardashian media whirlwind.
The source went on to reveal: “It’s a sure way to kill the relationship. Getting involved in the show decimates every man.”
A second insider explained that thus far, Davidson has not felt any pressure to be on the show.
The source claimed: “He feels no pressure to be in the show. Neither do the people around him. If it happens that he’s on the show, it happens.”
In a new interview with Variety, Kim Kardashian revealed that she would love to film a project with her boyfriend.
She explained: “I have not filmed with him. And I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does. But if there was an event happening and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to getaway. I think I might film something really exciting coming, but it wouldn’t be for this season.”
Davidson seems to be keeping a little independence for now.
