Kim Kardashian Reveals What She Had Plans To Do With Pete Davidson In Her Hotel Room After The Met Gala

Kim Kardashian stole the spotlight at the 2022 Met Gala in a sheer dress worth over $5 million.

Deemed the most expensive dress on the planet, the sparkly gown belonged to the late great Marilyn Monroe.

Monroe wore the stunning creation in 1962 at a fundraiser where an iconic moment took place — she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy.

With Pete Davidson by her side, Kim Kardashian was forced to take tiny steps to get into the event.

The billionaire TV personality did an interview on the red carpet where she revealed the grueling efforts she made to lose 16 pounds to fit into the gown.

Kardashian also shared her plans with the Saturday Night Live star and, most likely, her sisters for achieving her goal and having great success at the gala — she was planning a pizza party.

Kardashian told La La Anthony during Vogue‘s live red carpet coverage that she had to work her magic to convince Ripley’s Believe It or Not! to borrow her the dress.

And when she finally had her hands on the gown, she cried because it did not fit.

The mother of four stated: “It’s 60 years old. I had this idea to put it on and try it on, and then they came with armed guards and gloves. I tried it on, and it didn’t fit me.”

She went on to explain how she got her hands on the unique creation that is also known as the original naked dress: “I’m a big fan of auctions, and I own several JFK pieces, so I know the owner of Julien’s. He was able to connect me [with Ripley’s], and that’s how the conversation started.”

Kim Kardashian revealed why she wanted to cry: “I always thought she was extremely curvy. I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in places where she was smaller. So when it didn’t fit me, I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all.”

She was determined to fit into the dress and refused even to consider the idea of wearing another gown.

She boldly claimed: “It was this or nothing. I had to lose 16 pounds down today to be able to fit this. It was like a role. I was determined to fit it.”

So, how was she able to lose 16 pounds in a matter of weeks?

She shared a few details about her extreme diet plan: “I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein. I didn’t starve myself, but I was so strict. One month later, I had another fitting. I wanted to cry tears of joy when it went up.”

After attending the Met Gala with Davidson, she said that she planned to go to her hotel room for donuts and pizza.

She continued: “Since I haven’t eaten carbs or sugar in about three weeks, we’re eating pizza and donut party back at the hotel.”

She went on to say, “I have a replica of the dress she wore to the Oscars in 1962,” that she would wear for the hotel room pizza party.

The dress was designed by Jean Louis, who had to sew Monroe in because it was so tight.

It cost $1440 in 1962 (or $12,000 today) to make the gown, and Monroe wore it only once — on May 19, 1962, at a Madison Square Garden fundraiser.

Monroe took the stage and sang the birthday tune to President Kennedy. She died three months later.

Ripley purchased the dress from Julien’s Auction in 2016 for almost $5 million.
