Less than 24 hours after reliable sources confirmed that the reality TV star and the basketball star had split, they surprised their fans and foes by reuniting.
Not only did they spend some quality together at a private club, but they also did so in a very public setting for the paparazzi and their camera lenses to capture every moment.
Jenner and Booker smiled and appeared to have shared a kiss while the paps snapped photos. Many were happy to see that the power couple had reconciled.
However, a source spoke to Page Six and explained that the photos of Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker were staged by her team.
The insider, who spoke to the media outlet, claimed that Kendall Jenner’s team cooked up the PR stunt because they needed to protect her reputation.
They asked the basketball star to meet with Jenner because they do not want the public to think she was dumped.
A person with ties to the Kardashian family stated: “The recent pics of Kendall Jenner and her NBA star ex Devin Booker — taken at SoHo House in Malibu just days after news broke that the couple split — were just a PR stunt. Her team does not want it to look like she was dumped. Her people requested the meet-up.”
About 24 hours before the PR stunt, a source told E! News that Jenner and the athlete had broken up but opted to remain friends.
The duo decided to go their separate ways after attending Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian‘s wedding in Italy.
The insider explained: “They shared things on their phones and laughed. Kendall was looking up and smiling at Devin. The pair have had discussions about their future, but they are not on the same page. They had a really nice time together at Kourtney’s wedding, but once they got back, they started to feel like they weren’t aligned and realized they have very different lifestyles.”
Another source claimed that Jenner’s career is the top priority for her at the moment and added: “While they care for each other, Devin was not going to propose marriage, and his priority is his career. Kendall’s career also dominates her life.”
