The fashion world has a new dynamic duo that has taken over — Kim Kardashian and her daughter, North West.
On Tuesday, Kanye West‘s oldest daughter stepped into the role she was born for. Accompanied by her famous mother, the 9-year-old turned heads as she arrived in France for Paris’ Couture Fashion Week.
The child wore an eye-catching outfit that paid homage to her fashion designer father.
North West was dressed in all black with a pair of funky and chunky croc shoes and deep blue sunglasses.
She completed the look with a colorful red and blue jacket worth over $10,000. That is indeed a very expensive hand-me-down.
North West opted for a stylish and vintage varsity jacket from Kanye West’s now-retired streetwear label, Pastelle.
In 2008, Kanye West wore the jacket as he accepted the American Music Awards for Favorite Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for Graduation.
As for Kim Kardashian, she stood out in a neon-colored outfit composed of a camouflage top, matching pantashoes, and oversized sunglasses.
In new interviews, the billionaire mogul has been talking about her daughter, who is a real fashionista and a harsh critic of the entire Kardashian/Jenner family.
The veteran TV star stated that they have often butted heads when it comes to fashion.
In a recent sit-down with Vogue, Kim Kardashian explained: “North is very opinionated when it comes to what I’m wearing. She’ll always complain when I’m wearing too much black. I showed up at her school on Valentine’s Day wearing head-to-toe pink, and she got so excited she ran over and hugged me. [Of course] she opened my coat, saw the black lining, and says, ‘Mom, you’re still wearing black.'”
During one of the last episodes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kardashian confirmed that North is like her father — they have a strong sense of personal style.
Kardashian went on to reveal that North had a big say on the outfits that the family wore for the Vogue cover shoot.
The publication revealed: “They were all going to wear black,” the reality star said of their original concept. But, according to North’s fashion direction, the “boring” monochrome wardrobe wasn’t going to cut it. “I can’t believe this is what we’re going to wear. I’m going to dress everyone. And she went in everyone’s closet, picked it all out.”
North might become the next big thing in fashion.
