Pete Davidson‘s latest confession is a major indication that he and his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, might take their romance to the next level sooner than later.
This week, the former Saturday Night Live comedian made an appearance on Kevin Hart‘s new talk show, where he poured his soul out.
Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend revealed that his lifelong dream is to have a child of his own.
Kardashian is already a mother to four children, whom she shares with ex-husband and rapper Kanye West.
Davidson revealed that he feels that fatherhood should be the next chapter of his life.
The 28-year-old New Yorker said he had decided to change his ways and prepare for that important role.
He also confessed to Hart that he knows he can be a good father. In recent months, Pete Davidson has been seen spending quality time and having fun with Kardashian and West’s children.
He was even filmed having fun with North West. The little girl and her friends were seen giggling as he drove them around in a golf cart.
Pete Davidson also took Saint West shopping and appeared to have given him one of his signature Staten Island baseball caps.
In a sneak peek of Peacock’s Hart to Hart, a passionate and emotional Pete Davidson made this confession about his desire to step into fatherhood: “[I’m] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I’ve yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. That’s like my dream.”
Davidson went on to justify his dream of having a family by saying: “It’s super corny.”
Hart jumped in to explain: “It’s not super corny. It’s the best God damn thing you can do in life.”
Davidson continued by revealing that fatherhood has motivated him.
He shared: “It would just be so fun. I’m just so excited for that chapter, so like that’s kinda just what I’m preparing for now. Just trying to be like, as good of a dude, and develop and get better so that when that happens, it’s just easier.”
The exchange between the two comedians took a more serious tone as they opened up about why they chose this career path.
Davidson and Hart agreed that comedy has helped them deal with some of the many childhood traumas that they have been dealing with.
Pete Davidson has been very honest about his battles with depression and addictions. He has been to rehab on multiple occasions.
The root of his issues stems from the loss of his father during the horrific 9/11 terrorist attacks when he was seven years old.
Davidson joked: “I tell my friends that all the time, I’m like, ‘if everything was fine, if my childhood was fine, I’d probably be a construction worker in Staten Island. I’d be like the happiest guy ever, but that weird s–t that it does to you made me love comedy.”
Kim Kardashian has hinted that she would be open to getting married to the actor and having one more child.
Kardashian has spoken about freezing her eggs and using two surrogates after having complicated pregnancies.
