This is why it is not surprising that the pair has no plans to reconcile, but that does not mean Kardashian has stopped loving and caring for her ex.
Sources have confirmed that the comedian has been going to “trauma therapy” because of the horrific messages and pictures that Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, has been sharing on social media.
Multiple sources revealed to PEOPLE that in the heat of the public feud with Kanye West, Pete Davison decided it was best for him to seek the help of professionals.
The comedian has been seeing a mental health expert since April. In the spring of 2022, West gave the comedian the name “Skete,” and he threatened to beat him and killed him in an animated music video, among other horrors.
The person in the know told the media outlet: “The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help.”
The insider stressed that while the romance was complicated mainly because of West’s constant online harassment, Davidson does not regret the moments and memories he made with Kardashian.
The person authorized to speak on behalf of Davidson claimed thought it all, Kardashian has been supportive, but that the relationship is over, and he is moving forward with his career:
The source said: “Pete has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship. Moving forward, he just wants to focus on his career.”
A second insider revealed to PEOPLE that while Davidson enjoyed Kardashian’s company, there is no hope of them ever getting back together.
The insider seems to confirm what Kardashian said when she announced the breakup — they are not on the same page at all.
The source explained why there is no turning back for the former couple: “They’ve definitely been slowing down. Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed. Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup. They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course.”
The second insider added: “It was an amicable split. They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn’t sudden. And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now.”
On Friday, the reality TV star announced to the world that her steamy romance with Davidson had fizzled out.
The Kardashians star was quick to reveal that her 28-year-old boyfriend’s fun-loving side and immaturity had something to do with the split.
A Kardashian source said last week: “Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends. They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”
While many Internet users predicted that Kanye West would celebrate the breakup news because he desperately wants his ex-wife back, not many could have predicted how he would celebrate.
West, who has not been on Instagram in almost five months, returned with a shocking post.
The king of Instagram drama shared a doctored New York Times front page with the following insensitive title splashed on it “SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28.”
The post sent shock waves on the Internet, and it was revealed that Kardashian was furious about it and demanded that West deletes it.
A source close to the Skims founder told Page Six that Kardashian still cares for Davidson and will always protect him against West.
The person added: “Kim is livid and incredibly upset … Kanye is back to his old ways, and Kim will not tolerate his bullying behavior towards the people she loves and cares about. She will always protect Pete.”
Hours after the post went viral, West was forced to delete it. If West is looking for a way to get back to Kardashian’s heart, his mean posts are not the solution.
