Pete Davidson and his team are not staying quiet anymore. After letting his ex-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, set the narrative after their breakup, Davidson is slowly putting his side of the story out.
Initially, Kardashian adopted an aggressive tone when it came to Davidson. His so-called “immaturity” was blamed for the split.
Earlier this month, an insider told Page Six: “Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment. Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids, and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”
This approach seemed too harsh, and there was a change in tactic days later. A source on E! News revealed: “They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”
The switch was completed after the Kanye West‘s fake front page image on Instagram. Kardashian and her people moved in Davidson’s corner and chastised the billionaire rapper.
An insider told The Daily Mail: “Kim won’t stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won’t. She has been vigorously defending Pete. She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects.”
The way the Kardashian treated Davidson in the press evolved quite a bit in the past few weeks. The former Saturday Night Live comedian and people close to him remained mostly silent.
However, there has been a slight change. The first response came to reveal that reconciliation was not in the cards for the former couple.
A person in the know stated via Entertainment Tonight: “Pete is bummed things didn’t work out with Kim, but he is focused on the future in terms of his career and personal life.”
On Wednesday, this new angle continued with sources revealing that Davidson will barely appear in Season 2 of The Kardashians. It is a way for him to further distance himself from the nine-month relationship.
An insider told Page Six: “He’s in the background, but the reality world is not built for people like Pete.” The person continued: “He was not on the first season. I don’t know how they’re doing the second season, but he’s not a part of that world.”
Davidson as “a very private person,” did not want to give too much of his privacy, and Kardashian “was always super respectful of that.”
While Davidson knew what he was getting into when he started dating the SKIMS founder, people close to him seem to be suggesting that the lack of privacy was too much for him.
