Pete Davidson is not ready to cede the media spotlight to his ex-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian. Days after, the billionaire reality TV star let the world know that she is ready to date someone older and more mature.
A person from Kanye West‘s former spouse’s inner circle revealed to E! News: “Kim’s expressed she’s ready to date someone older, but it has to be the right person who understands her life. She isn’t compromising her freedom right now. She enjoys dating and is definitely open to putting herself out there again.”
Kardashian is determined to handle things differently this time around. Sources say that she feels like the relationship got out of hand and that things went too fast.
She went into the romance to have fun, and about nine months later, the actor was talking about having children with her in a high-profile interview. The 41-year-old SKIMS founder is putting all of this behind her and wants just to have fun.
The former Saturday Night Live star wants his supporters to understand that he, too, is all about the future. The comedian is hoping to put his career above all of the noise.
A source close to the 28-year-old actor tells Us Weekly: “Pete is focusing on himself and his career right now and trying to make himself happy. He’s got a huge career ahead of him and has a ton of irons in the fire post-SNL.”
The insider continues: “He has a hugely ambitious streak. Pete wants to continue his standup comedy routine and challenge himself with new acting roles. He enjoyed the experience in Australia a lot, really bonded with the cast and crew, and is excited about the future.”
Davidson appears not to be too worried about finding a replacement for Kardashian. The insider states: “Pete’s charming guy with bags of confidence and humor, plus he’s also super intelligent and a great listener. It’s not all that surprising to the folks who know him that he’s such a hit with the ladies.”
The New York native has dated Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, and Phoebe Dynevor.
People close to Kardashian and Davidson have been engaging in a mini PR feud after the split. One side is always trying to have the upper hand.
Things have never gotten nasty, but the two camps feel like they need to own the narrative. One day it is about who is to blame for the breakup, the next, it is about which ex is happier that the relationship is over.
